Angela roy
Angela is the owner/operator of Serendipity Early Years Centre. Serendipity was in operation for nine years downtown Kelowna, and two years ago, moved to Lake Country BC in her home. Angela has been in the Early Childhood Education field for just over 23 years, graduating from the Early Childhood Education Program at Okanagan College in 2001. From there she worked in a variety of child care centres: 3-5 group day care, infant and toddler centre, preschool, Aboriginal Preschool, multi-age child care, family child care and StrongStart.
Angela is a wife and a mother to two children, and she is also a Grandma to three amazing grandchildren.
Outside of preschool, you can find her spending time with her family or working on her hobbies, which include sewing, scrapbooking, crafting, embroidering, reading, baking and gardening.
A few years ago, Angela has started presenting professional development training workshops to Educators on Outdoor Play, highlighting the amazing benefits of outdoor play not only for children, however, Educators and parents too! Since 2020 she's been on a break from presenting.
